Short Bio:
Choolwe Chuuno is an energy and climate justice practitioner dedicated to advancing inclusive and sustainable energy solutions in underserved communities in Zambia. She is a General Manager of Ntatumbila Power Electric Cooperative, a community-driven initiative that delivers solar-powered electricity to over 300 members, improving livelihoods and supporting local development. With a strong background in humanitarian action, youth leadership, and environmental sustainability, Choolwe has trained hundreds of young people in climate resilience and clean energy practices. Her work focuses on bridging energy access gaps, promoting renewable energy adoption, and empowering communities—particularly women and youth—to participate in the energy transition. She is passionate about driving locally led solutions that strengthen resilience to climate change while fostering economic opportunity.
